Michelle Maddux, ND

Dr. Michelle Maddux received her doctorate of naturopathic medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM). She has completed additional training in integrative and functional medicine, laboratory medicine, eating disorders, meditation, yoga, and mindfulness. She is the Founder and CEO of Soaring Phoenix, a consulting firm dedicated to educating on the fundamentals of integrative and functional medicine. Dr Maddux is passionate about changing the paradigm of medicine and believes education is the key to making that happen.

Andrea Girman, MD, MPH

Dr. Andrea Girman is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, pediatric residency program and Bloomberg School of Public Health, as well as the Beth Israel Medical Center Continuum Center for Health and Healing Integrative Medicine Fellowship. An avid proponent of integrative, functional, and lifestyle medicine, health optimization at all stages of life, the healing power of food, and preventive care, Dr. Girman writes and speaks nationally on these issues. She is the former Director of Medical Education for Genova Diagnostics (2008 – 2106), and is co-author of Mosby’s Handbook of Herbs and Supplements and their Therapeutic Uses (Mosby, 2002).

David Scheiderer, MD, MBA, DFAPA

Dr David Scheiderer attended medical school at Ohio State University, completed his Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry residency at University of Virginia, and is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Scheiderer specializes in Psycho-Neuro-Immunology (PNI) the primary theory of which is that life and its attendant stressors, combined with a unique genetic endowment and early life experiences, cause progressive imbalances among multiple physiological systems including: neurotransmitters, hormones, growth factors, metabolic parameters, and immunity.

Gerald Simons, PA-C

Jerry graduated from Stony Brook’s Health Science Center with honors in Cardio-Respiratory Sciences. He then went on to graduate from Cornell Medical College’s Physician Assistant Program. Jerry is currently employed at The Morrison Center and East Hampton Urgent Care in New York. He is also a lecturer for Cornell Medical College’s PA Medicine and Physical Diagnosis program, Long Island University, Touro University, and the Montefiore Medical Center Residency program. Jerry is an expert on the topics of the gut microbiome and tick-borne infection.

Dr. Nicole Cain has a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine as well as a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and is currently writing a book about integrative solutions for anxiety. Sammie Mancine, RN, BCHHP

Sammie Mancine is an entrepreneur, board-certified Holistic Health Practitioner, and Registered Nurse. Frustrated and impassioned by the disconnect between nutrition and healing she witnessed while working in hospitals, she founded an eponymous company to help people make that connection at home. She designs personalized programs to improve nutrition and other oft-ignored health determiners like sleep and stress.
